CBE offers EGP 60bn T-bills on Sunday

Cairo - Mubasher: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) auctioned treasury bills (T-bills) at an aggregated value of EGP 60 billion through two offerings on Sunday, 21 January 2024.

The first tranche stood at EGP 40 billion, holding a tenor of 91 days until 23 April this year, according to official data.

Meanwhile, the second offering was valued at EGP 20 billion and will mature 273 days on 22 October 2024.

Last Thursday, the financial authority issued T-bills at a combined value of EGP 70 billion through two tranches.
